The World Did Not Come to an End
Back in March, an unprecedented event happened. The world economy shut down. It felt like the world was coming to an end. Five months ago, we looked back 100 years at the markets and found that there was not a correlation in the longer-term between pandemics and the markets. Despite a 34% average drop at the time, to date, the average of the three indexes is now up 7.53%. Our strategy has outperformed the markets this year by 8.2%, with the weighted average of the seven funds we’ve been recommending up 15.73%.
We cannot predict what will happen for the rest of the year, nor, for that matter, the following years. But this we know for sure, the markets go up and the markets go down. And in the long run, they have always trended higher. With our diverse portfolio, we are always able to find good buying opportunities.
Sincerely,
Samuel Schaeffer
