Not so mad money
Happy New Year! I wish you and your loved ones a productive and prosperous 2024. Looking back, 2023 is in the books and it was a good year for the market as it recovered from the losses of 2022. On December 20th, 2022, Jim Cramer, the host of Mad Money (who makes a reported $5 million a year), picked eight stocks to perform well in 2023. They were: Eli Lilly, Humana, Johnson & Johnson, Caterpillar, Deere, TJX Companies, and Morgan Stanley. Together these stocks returned an average of 13.57% in 2023. Our Fidelity L.O.R.D.S. Strategy returned 29.46%.
Picking a winning stock consistently, especially in the short-term, is difficult even for those who are recognized by millions as experts in their field. That is why at B.S.F.S. Investment Advisors, we don’t chase returns and gamble on individual stocks, rather we specialize in investing in mutual funds according to the L.O.R.D.S. Strategy. Looking at funds based on their Longevity, Opportunity, Returns, Diversity, and Stability has led us to be working with a portfolio of investments that has returned over 14% since 1985 with only 4 down years.
So if you’re mad about having invested in volatile or low-returning investments, please reach out and we would be happy to tell you more about how we can help you with your investments. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Samuel Schaeffer
